The Howard Miller Stratford Grandfather Clock is a handsome floor clock and a member of Howard Millers luxury Ambassador Collection of grandfather clocks. Lightly distressed finish in Hampton Cherry on select hardwoods and veneers the Stratford Grandfather Clock features a distinctively stepped swan neck pediment with book matched olive ash burl, a carved finial, rosettes and a decorative vine and shell overlay. The Stratford Grandfather Clock's brushed nickel finished dial features corner and center ornaments, and includes a silver chapter ring with applied satin black Arabic numerals. A moon arch with an astrological blue moon phase contains a special Ambassador Collection inscription within the hemispheres. The illuminated dial creates a spectacular effect and is ideal for viewing the clock in a darkened room. The brushed nickel finished clock pendulum features a center disk to complement the dial. With complete attention to detail the brushed nickel finished weight shells include bands which coordinate with the dial and pendulum.

The upper front door of the Stratford Grandfather Clock can be easily opened so that the movement can be wound and the time set easily. Removable fret-cut top side panels with glass also allow for easy access to the movement. The lower front door features a stylish beveled glass with a carved molding located between the doors. The use of beveled glass continues in the bottom sides. Large reeded columns, featuring carved column caps, frame the doors. The distinctive, multi-tiered Bombé base includes a carved molding below the door and a decorative cutout.

The Howard Miller Stratford Grandfather Clock features a classic cable driven clock movement, a German made Kieninger movement that will keep time faithfully. This triple chime movement plays the following charming clock chimes Westminster, St Michaels and Whittington (click here to listen). This Kieninger made clock movement also includes an automatic nighttime chime shut-off option for added convenience. Adjustable levelers under all corners level the clock on uneven surfaces or carpet.
