Part of Howard Miller’s Presidential Collection of luxury grandfather clocks, the Eisenhower II boasts a swan-neck pediment that displays book-matched crotch-figured veneers framed with a V-matched border. The pediment is further enhanced with three-turned urn finials, carved rosettes, and an inlaid keystone with the Prince of Wales motif using Maple, Padauk, Amaranth, and Ebony veneers on a Madrona Burl background. The elaborate clock dial features raised brass Arabic numerals, cast center and corner ornaments, and a moon phase with exclusive Presidential Collection hemispheres. The polished brass clock pendulum has a cast center disk which complements the dial. In addition, the polished-brass-finished weight shells feature decorative bands. Beveled glass on the front and sides add to this clock’s classic charm. Top side doors have offer access to the movement and storage of the hand crank and door key. Four impressive columns feature large reeds and boldly carved caps that frame the distinctive door and adjoin the pediment to the base. The multi-tiered bombe-style base features canted corners with a carved molding that wraps around the entire base. A decorative cut-out completes the picture.

The Howard Miller Eisenhower II Grandfather Clock features a classic concerto clock movement, a German made Kieninger movement that will keep time faithfully. This concerto triple chime movement plays the following charming clock chimes Westminster, Shubert’s Ave Maria and Beethoven’s Ode to Joy(click here to listen). This Kieninger made clock movement also includes an automatic nighttime chime shut-off option for added convenience. Adjustable levelers under all corners level the clock on uneven surfaces or carpet.
