The Howard Miller Benjamin Grandfather Clock evokes a
timeless beauty. Crafted from select hardwoods and veneers, this elegant
grandfather clock glows with a rich Windsor Cherry finish. The delicately
curved pediment is crowned by a turned finial and decorative shell overlay.
Beneath it, the polished brass-finished clock dial features elaborate corner
spandrels, central disc with an astrological blue moon phase, and a silver
chapter ring with applied brass Arabic numerals. The polished brass clock
pendulum echoes the look of the dial with its own decorative center disc and
weight shells. Reeded columns with turned top and bottom caps frame the
door, and the elegantly sculpted base boasts a distinctive cutout design.
Beveled glass gleams on the lower door while removable glass upper side
panels allow easy access to the clocks movement. An illuminated case and
mirrored back highlight the pendulum and weight shells.
The Howard Miller Benjamin Grandfather Clock features a
classic cable driven grandfather clock movement, a German made Kieninger
movement that will keep time faithfully and plays the charming Westminster
chime as heard from London’s famous Big Ben clock
(click here to listen). The Benjamin Grandfather Clock’s movement
includes a convenient nighttime chime silence option. The clock’s door locks
for added security, and adjustable floor levelers are located under all four
corners to ensure the clock remains level on uneven surfaces or carpet.
