Each manufacture implements this feature a little differently – for example Howard Miller Grandfather Clocks with automatic nighttime shut off, can be set to automatically silence the chime and hour strike between the hours of 10:15 p.m. and 7:15 a.m. (Last chime at 10:00 pm and first chime at 7:15 am).   Manual Shut Off (Manual Chime Silencing Option)   This feature allows you to enjoy the great melodies of your grandfather clock during the day and then manually shut them off at night.
